At AsianD8 we never stop doing our best to help you guys find love. Here are just a few things that happened in 2011
Well we began the year with the results of our online survey ringing in our ears!
We had spent quite a lot of time finding out what else we could do to help you guys
in your journey to find someone special. From your feedback we got very busy building
some cool features in the website.
In the beginning of Spring we created two features; IDCheck and Message Booster.
IDCheck helped verify members to make sure they were who they said they were, making our
website even safer and secure. Message Booster enabled members to receive replays
from Basic members on the website.
We also designed the very popular Event Pass which allowed members to attend events
for free and later that month we created Profile Highlight to give members a choice
of being at the very top of search results!
As the sun began shining on us (or not, as we discovered) we decided to package all
our new features on the website and launch the Premium Option. We felt that this
would be perfect for those who were a little more serious about finding love.
The uptake of our Premium membership proved to be very popular with our members
that we later launched Extras; which allowed existing members to add each feature
to their account. It also meant that one could pick and choose which feature was
right for them.
In July we finished building our mobile website! This meant that our members could
access the best of the website with ease from any device and from any location.
Don’t worry; we didn’t forget our iphone users either! We released version 1.7 of
mobiD8 - our dinky little dating app too in August.
As summer left us and the months began to get darker and a little colder we decided
to revamp our search to make it even faster for our members to get in contact with
each other. This meant even more messages & waves were sent and from then on we
had well over 100,000 each month!
This meant loads more success and as word got out how great we were (sorry to blowing
our own trumpets but its true!) we noticed that we had passed over 35,000 registrations
on our website!
We had also ran over 150 singles events by the end of autumn with over 22,500 successful
event matches. In addition to this we launched a few original and unique style singles events (Cooking
and Bowling) which went down a treat!
As the temperatures dropped and scarf’s and gloves began to appear we began a busy
winter period by releasing a brand new personality testing feature on the website
called Lovephool. This was designed to help you understand what makes you special
and who you would most likely get on with.
We also spread the love by giving some of our very lucky members some cool presents
in our Christmas promotion giveaway!
Finally, we celebrated in style with a festive Christmas dinner and partied hard
at the AsianD8 London Rocks NYE party!
