CHARITY: Moustaches Find Love in the AsianD8 office…

“It’s Movember, and we’re all going to grow moustaches and help raise money for prostate cancer..” said CFO Sujan Shah.

“Ummmm…what?! Sounds like fun, let’s do it!” came the response from the AsianD8 team.

At AsianD8 we’ve always tried to get involved with charitable activities, whether it’s turning up to work in our pyjamas for Comic Relief, to member sof the team running marathons and jumping out of planes.

The latest in the long line has probably caused the most laughs yet, the Movember Moustache’s have been growing steadily bushier over the past month! You can Donate Here to help the cause!

Originally starting out in Melbourne Australia, Movember has grown to become a truly global movement. Since starting over 1.1 million “Mo Bros” and “Mo Sistas” have participated, with campaigns in Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, the UK, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, South Africa and Ireland. Last year over 112,000 UK participants helped in raising £11.7 million.

The official website clearly shows the organisations desire to increase awareness about men’s heath globally, as we as raise valuable funds for charities such as The Prostate Cancer Charity, and The Institute of Cancer Research.

Movember say “Big steps have been taken towards changing attitudes and habits relating to men’s health around the world but there is still much to be done to catch up with the women’s health movement. Via the moustache, Movember aims to fulfill its vision of having an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health, by continuing to spark conversation and spread awareness of men’s health each year.”

It’s been a great experience for the team, comparing moustaches, discussing styles and raising over £300 and counting so far!
